If you’re waiting for next-gen Team Green GPUs to arrive, you might have to wait for quite a while – according to prominent leaker @kopite7kimi, NVIDIA may push the announcement of its RTX 50 series GPU, codenamed “Blackwell”, into 2025.
No RTX 50 Before CES 2025

The leaker’s tweet on X (Twitter) is straightforward: “I think we won’t see RTX 50 until CES.” While the leaker is not fully certain of the fact, it is perfectly reasonable at this point for NVIDIA to not rush its next-gen GPUs. As competition from AMD and Intel presents virtually no threat in their upcoming GPUs, this leaves Team Green complete dominance in the high-end GPU market. Leaks thus far also suggested that both Intel and AMD are only launching their next-gen offerings (Battlemage and RDNA4, respectively) in 2025, potentially later than NVIDIA’s launch date.
There is a precedent to this: NVIDIA released its RTX 40 SUPER series GPUs earlier in January this year, so it’s fairly likely that the chipmaker may unveil the GPU through CES 2025, or at least near it. However, it is well known at this point that release date and pricing can change at any moment, so even if this information is correct today, it may not be the case several months later. As always, take this information with a bit of salt.
