ADATA has unveiled its latest SC750 external SSD, featuring the USB 3.2 Gen2 (10Gbps) Type-C interface with read/write speeds up to 1,050/1,000 MB/s. Naturally, this makes it compatible with the iPhone 15 series, as well as virtually all Android smartphones that uses the USB-C connector.
SC750 Goes Cable-Less

Inheriting the compact exterior design of the SE880 SSD, the SC750 features reduced footprint, at just 53.0 x 27.5 x 11.89 mm. The integrated Type-C connector features a sliding mechanism that pops out (like a USB drive would), which connects directly to the smartphone without any cables in between. For connecting smartphones this should be ideal, though such design meant connecting to a laptop will most likely block nearby connectors.

iPhone 15 series users can record Apple ProRes videos directly to the drive, which shortens the time required to transfer, and in ADATA’s words, “users can save for a rainy day by skipping the high-capacity iPhone 15 Pro.” Cheeky. It’s also compatible with the Steam Deck, the company noted.
The SC750 external SSD is now available globally in capacities of 500GB and 1TB, with 2TB version set to launch in Q3. All models come with a global three-year limited warranty.
Pokdepinion: Interesting design choice to get rid of cables, though I can see the rationale behind it.
