CelcomDigi Berhad and HELP University have entered into a collaboration to develop Malaysian digital talent through work-based learning, industry mentorship and experiential learning. The partnership is intended to strengthen the connection between academic education and industry experience, while providing students with opportunities to apply their knowledge in telecommunications and technology environments.
A key component is the development of Work-Based Learning (WBL) opportunities for eligible HELP University students across different years and levels of study. Students will be exposed to real business projects and work environments as part of their learning.

The two organizations will also explore industry mentorship programs that connect students with CelcomDigi professionals, giving students greater understanding of workplace expectations and support their career planning. The partnership will explore pathways aligned with the 2U1I model (two years of university-based learning followed by one year of industry-based learning), providing a structured framework for students to complement their academic studies with industry experience.
AI leadership and innovation will form another area of the collaboration, with CelcomDigi and HELP University planning to work through an AI Hub at HELP University. The hub is expected to support applied AI projects, research and innovation, industry engagement, talent and capability development, and knowledge exchange covering artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies.
The partnership will also extend educational opportunities to CelcomDigi employees and their children. HELP University will offer learning options including short courses, micro-credentials, executive education, customized programs and professional certifications, covering both credit-bearing and non-credit-bearing programs. Both organizations said the collaboration will provide pathways for students and working professionals to gain academic and industry experience as well as develop new capabilities throughout their careers.
