Perhaps coincidentally, Google has also announced its new subscription plan for its AI tools in Malaysia, shortly after a similar announcement made by its rival OpenAI. The new Google AI Plus plan offers extra perks over free tier, though just like ChatGPT Go, the new plan effectively serves as the entry-level plan slotting below pricier Pro and Ultra offerings.
Google AI Plus Subscription

The stuff users get with Google AI Plus plan includes access to Gemini 2.5 Pro large-language model, as well as Veo 3 Fast video generation model accessible via Gemini and AI filmmaking tools like Whisk and Flow. The plan also offers increased limits for image generation and editing within the Gemini app (a.k.a. Nano Banana), and users also get access to Gemini integration in Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and other Google services. There’s also a not-so-AI-related perk which offers 200GB of storage space across Photos, Drive, and Gmail.

Google AI Plus plan also supports family sharing with up to five additional members under a single subscription, which costs RM23.99/month. First-time subscribers are eligible for a 50% discount during the first six months of subscription, the company announced. (Note: as of the publication of this article, you can only see the new plan via Malay-language version of the Google One page.)
Pokdepinion: Rather coincidental timing, isn’t it?
