Apple has announced new updates for its Apple Creator Studio suite, introducing Pixelmator Pro integration across Final Cut Pro, Keynote, Pages, and Numbers, new on-device AI tools in Final Cut Pro, vector shape generation, and music production updates in Logic Pro.
Apple Creator Studio Updates
Final Cut Pro
Regarding Final Cut Pro, the video editor now gets two features: Generate Captions automatically transcribes audio and places subtitles in the timeline with options for font, color, position, and animation style, while Edit Detection analyzes rendered video and splits it back into individual clips on the timeline. Both tools run on-device with no online processing required, Apple noted.
For Mac users, the new Auto Mask features uses on-device processing to isolate elements such as skin, hair, sky, and clothing without manual tracking, and works alongside the existing Magnetic Mask tool. A rebuilt Match Color tool delivers more accurate color grading across varied lighting conditions, and Advanced Trimming allows frame-by-frame adjustment of edit points.
Final Cut Pro users can now send individual frames directly to Pixelmator Pro for editing and return the modified content to the timeline without interrupting the workflow. In Keynote, Pages, and Numbers, any placed image can be opened in Pixelmator Pro for full editing, with changes saved back to the document automatically.
Pixelmator Pro & Vector Shape Generation
Pixelmator Pro, Keynote, Pages, and Numbers now support vector shape generation, with shapes saved to a dedicated collection for reuse. Pixelmator Pro also gains access to image generation via natural language and a Content Hub with curated photos, graphics, and illustrations. Keynote adds new transitions and builds, Pages on iPhone and iPad adds Auto-Hyphenate and Show Invisibles, and Numbers adds the ability to hide or color-code individual sheets.
Updates to Motion include native vector graphics support and Distribute Layers for complex animations, while Compressor adds an Immersive Metadata Viewer and 180-degree Apple Projected Media Profile support for Apple Vision Pro headset.
Logic Pro Updates
On the audio side, Logic Pro’s Chord ID has been rebuilt to improve harmonic analysis accuracy, including extended chords and inversions across a wider range of instruments and recording conditions. Logic Pro and MainStage also gain a new granular sync mode in Alchemy, accompanied by a new Granular Alchemy Sound Pack. Lastly, Beat Breaker expands on Mac and iPad with new filter and pan modes and randomization controls.
