HungryGoWhere Has Revived Thanks to Grab
Last year, HungryGoWhere was shut down likely due to the COVID-19 pandemic as people couldn’t dine in. Now, the business has been acquired by Grab and has since relaunched with new management.
From what we understand thus far, HungryGoWhere will continue doing the same thing they have been known for; providing food reviews and recommendations for people to refer to. For Grab, they will making use of data from their side, likely the ones related to GrabFood, in order to improve what is being shown on the relaunched platform. Furthermore, their own vendors will have another platform to help reach out to a wider range of customers.
Unfortunately, the relaunch appears to be limited to Singapore, as the social pages and website for Malaysia appears to still be outdated. It’s highly likely that they are starting small first before scaling the business up and expanding to cover other areas as well. For now, we will report more on this as soon as information becomes available so stay tuned.
Pokdepinion: It’s just a matter of time before they start expanding and running the service in Malaysia again. Hopefully this time, they can thrive again.
