Chinese EV maker Zeekr made its first ever appearance at KLIMS 2026, and for the occasion, it unveiled two luxury EVs and opening bookings for both. The Zeekr 009 Grand, a four-seater luxury MPV, and the Zeekr 9X, a high-performance luxury SUV, are now available for reservation. The brand also introduced Zeekr Power, its dedicated EV charging ecosystem, at the show.
As one of the newer entrants of the Malaysian automotive market, Zeekr has registered more than 4,000 units as of May 2026, which is a decent number for a luxury-focused carmaker operating locally for less than 18 months up until this point. The two new models is very much focusing on what it does best, and they’re now presented on the show floor if you head to MITEC this week.
Zeekr 009 Grand
For its extra-large size, the Zeekr 009 Grand MPV only offers four seats – that being said, this MPV is designed to be more like Maybachs or Rolls-Royces than mere Toyota Vellfires: whoever that gets to sit on them will enjoy plenty of creature comforts, especially for those sitting in the back. The second-row executive seats come with hot stone therapy that delivers a 20-point massage, while in-car entertainment is handled by a 43-inch Mini-LED display backed by a 31-speaker surround sound system.
The interior materials are as premium as they get. The natural marble trim is sourced from the Himalayas, and there’s buttons featuring transparent crystals; you can also find an 18-litre fridge onboard if you need cold drinks on-the-go (perfect for Malaysian weather, too). For privacy, the 009 Grand features dimming glass on the sliding doors and rear quarter, a smart curtain partition between driver and passengers, and a password-protected dual-electronic safe.
Zeekr 9X
The Zeekr 9X is a similarly boxy-looking vehicle that is smaller in size, functioning as the brand’s flagship SUV. It’s built on the SEA-S platform with a 900V architecture, with the SEA Super Hybrid system produces up to 1,030kW (1,381hp / 1,400PS) of power, enabling a supercar-matching 0-100 km/h sprint in just 3.1 seconds – make sure your kids and groceries are held on securely if you got a lead foot. Combined range is rated at 1,250km on the CLTC cycle, and charging from 20% to 80% takes just 8.5 minutes.
The 9X is fitted with the SEA AI Digital Chassis, which includes advanced air suspension, active roll control, and smart drive modes for both highway cruising and rougher terrain. Safety is handled by the SEA Safety Armor system, which passed a world-first four-way crash test at 105 km/h. The system also covers crosswind control, side-impact protection, and automatic obstacle avoidance. Inside, the three-row cabin features Cloud Lounge seats, a 17-inch 3K OLED display, and a 3,800W Naim audio system.
Pricing starts from RM600,000 for the 009 Grand and RM800,000 for the 9X, and both models are now open for booking. Visitors can see the Zeekr 009 Grand and Zeekr 9X in person at KLIMS 2026, running from 12 to 21 June 2026 at MITEC, KL (Hall 7, Level 2, Booth 6B02-C).
Zeekr Power & Dealer Expansion
Alongside the vehicle reveals, Zeekr Malaysia also introduced Zeekr Power as its dedicated charging station to rival Tesla’s Supercharger network – the first flagship Zeekr Power station will launch at XPark Sunway Serene in Petaling Jaya, with up to 480kW of DC charging capability available.
The brand has also signed an memorandum of understanding (MOU) with domestic charge point operator DC Handal to develop seven charging stations in the first phase primarily along the North-South Expressway (PLUS) and at Sunway Pyramid, covering 14 bays at up to 400kW DC. Over three years, it aims to operate 20 Zeekr Power stations nationwide, with exclusive rates available for Zeekr vehicle owners.
On the retail side, Zeekr Malaysia currently runs eight outlets across Klang Valley, Melaka, Penang, Johor, and Ipoh. The brand is targeting 18 outlets by end of 2026, including locations in Sabah and Sarawak, alongside 12 service centers nationwide.
