The exterior of the 2027 Proton S70 RS takes a more assertive approach compared to the outgoing model. At the front, a redesigned grille and bumper establish a sportier identity, with intricate detailing and red accents adding contrast and visual depth. Along the sides, sporty skirts and 17-inch alloy wheels fitted with red brake calipers continues the theme; rear of the car receives a redesigned bumper, a diffuser and quad exhaust-tip finishers to complete the new RS look.

Inside, the cabin carries the RS identity through a dual-tone interior with red accents. A floating center console and ambient lighting introduce a more contemporary feel, while a Commander Dial and Automatic Column Shifter bring key controls within easier reach. Powertrain-wise, the 2027 Proton S70 RS carries forward the i-GT 1.5-litre turbocharged engine paired with a 7-speed DCT gearbox from the original, which delivers 0-100 km/h in 7.5 seconds.

In October 2026, the broader S70 range recorded 5,367 units sold, with the newer S70 i-GT 1.5 Lite and Prime variants leading B-segment sedan sales at 2,338 units, while the more powerful variants led the C-segment with 3,029 units. The model’s total year-to-date sales for the first 10 months of 2026 stood at 26,076 units.

To accompany the launch, Proton will stage a fashion showcase on 10 November 2026 at 8PM, combining the S70 RS line-off reveal with an industrial-inspired runway in collaboration with a local fashion designer. The event will be livestreamed on Proton’s official social media platforms.
