Alienware has introduced the m16 and m18, its most powerful laptops yet. Both feature next-generation Intel HX CPUs and NVIDIA RTX graphics, as well as the company’s new Legend 3.0 design language, which emphasizes form, function, and quality.

The m18 boasts a 14.5% larger 18-inch display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a full-sized keyboard with optional Cherry MX mechanical keys, display options of either a 165Hz QHD or 480Hz FHD panel, and has been modified to improve cooling with the Alienware Element 31 thermal interface material on the CPU and GPU. The cooling system itself has expanded vapor chambers and seven heat pipes, which improves cooling by 35%. The quad fans and ultra-thin fan blades also increase airflow by 25%.

As for the m16, it is the more compact and affordable option between the two. Both laptops also include user-replaceable DDR5 SODIMM slots, options for QHD or FHD panels, and up to 9TB of storage.

The m18 will be available in Q1 of this year with high-end configurations starting at USD $2,899, and the m16 will be available in Q1 2023 starting at USD $2,599. Entry-level models for both laptops will be released later in the year.

Alienware has also released the x16 and x14 laptops, which are suitable for gaming and productivity tasks. The x16 is Alienware’s first 16-inch laptop since 2004 and features a next-generation Intel H-class or HK processor and NVIDIA graphics, a 16:10 aspect ratio screen with a 240 Hz refresh rate, and a six-speaker design.

The x16 will be available in Q1 of this year with high-end configurations starting at USD $3,099, and the x14 will be available in Q1 2023 with entry-level configurations starting at USD $1,799. Entry-level configurations for the x16 will be released later in the year.

Pokdepinion: Would like to give that m18 a try but realistically, I can’t imagine carrying such a thing around with me. For me, I’d likely treat it as a mobile desktop rather than a laptop.
