HONOR has partnered with Google Cloud to introduce its suite of AI-powered features in the new HONOR Magic V3, launching this Thursday in Malaysia and at IFA 2024 in Berlin. The search engine giant has previously collaborated with Samsung’s 2024 lineup, with Circle to Search being the headlining feature.
HONOR Magic V3’s New AI Features
The collaboration integrates three new features: the AI Eraser is essentially its own version of Google’s Magic Eraser, which can be used to remove objects from a photo and fill in the blanks via generative AI; Face to Face Translation meanwhile supports up to 10 languages, including Chinese, Malay, English, and more. The new HONOR Notes app now comes with AI voice transcription and translation capabilities as well.
The Magic Portal feature, which was introduced earlier though the Magic6 series, offers enhanced multitasking by allowing users to share and search information quickly through circling text, addresses, or images, and dragging them into various apps through the Magic Portal. On the HONOR Magic V3, users can open two Magic Portals simultaneously to enable more complex multitasking scenarios.
Ahead of the official launch on 5 September, the HONOR Magic V3 Roadshow will be held at Centre Court, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, from 3 to 8 September 2024 (followed by a second roadshow at Penang’s Queensbay Mall, from 18 to 22 September 2024). Visitors can experience the new foldable smartphone up close, along with the new HONOR MagicPad 2 tablet and MagicBook Art 14 laptop.
An experience zone will allow attendees to explore the features of these devices, including the AI Eraser, Magic Portal, and Face to Face Translation; mall patrons who complete four activities at the experience zone can redeem a complimentary beverage.
