Apple CEO Tim Cook has officially confirmed that the long-awaited iPhone SE 4 will be announced on February 19, marking the latest refresh of the company’s budget-friendly smartphone. However, while the device is expected to start at $499—$70 more than its predecessor—there’s growing concern over its base storage capacity.
iPhone SE 4 May Start with Just 64GB of Storage

A new leak from a Chinese retailer suggests that the iPhone SE 4 will launch with three storage tiers: 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. In 2025, most Android mid-range smartphones already start with 128GB as the minimum, making Apple’s choice feel outdated. Given Apple’s pricing structure, expect the 128GB variant to cost $599 and the 256GB model to go for $699.
Apple’s strategy could put it at a disadvantage against Google’s upcoming Pixel 9a, which is expected to be priced competitively. If Google maintains its aggressive pricing and offers 128GB base storage, the Pixel 9a could be $100 cheaper than an equivalent iPhone SE 4 model.
What Else to Expect?
Rumors suggest the iPhone SE 4 will feature:
✅ iPhone 14-inspired design
✅ A18 chipset
✅ 8GB RAM across all models
✅ Face ID integration
Pokdepinion: While the A18 chip and Face ID are welcome additions, the lack of higher base storage could make potential buyers think twice—especially with more storage-heavy apps and media consumption in 2025. I’m pretty certain some games require more than 64GB.
