POCO M3 Pro 5G launched with Dimensity 700, 90Hz display and triple camera from €179
POCO has launched their latest mid-range entry, the POCO M3 Pro 5G. It offers quite a few additional features to justify the “Pro” moniker as well as a fresh new design that look heavily inspired by a certain recent flagship, but it is still very affordable, priced from €179 (~RM902).
POCO M3 Pro 5G: Dimensity 700, 7nm mid-range chip
The POCO M3 Pro 5G touts what should be significantly better chipset, with the Dimensity 700 instead of the ageing Snapdragon 662 powering the POCO M3. The chipset here is based on a newer 7nm process node, and it also touts more recent Cortex-A76 cores. And of course, there’s now 5G capabilities for download speeds of up to 2.77Gbps.
Part of the reason why POCO decided to go with the Dimensity 700 instead of the Snapdragon 662 for the POCO M3 Pro 5G might be for the 90Hz display support. The POCO M3 Pro 5G touts a FHD+ 90Hz display which can also switch to 60Hz, 50Hz and all the way to 30Hz to save power and suit the usage scenario.
Over on the back, POCO went with a design that highlights a corner of the device. In it lies a camera hump that houses a triple camera as well as the rear ambient light sensor for more accurate auto-brightness adjustments. The main star is a 48MP f/1.79 camera, with a 2MP macro camera and 2MP depth sensor rounding up the triple camera setup. The rest of the specifications of the POCO M3 Pro 5G includes a 5000mAh battery that supports 22.5W fast charging, an IR blaster and a headphone jack.

The POCO M3 Pro 5G comes in POCO Yellow, Power Black and Cool Blue. The POCO M3 Pro 5G comes with a power adapter and also a soft case in the box. As part of an introductory offer, POCO is also slashing €20 off the price of the POCO M3 Pro 5G. As you would expect, the Euro pricing is usually a lot pricier, so if the POCO M3 Pro 5G makes it to Malaysia, it should be a lot more affordable.

Pokdepinion: Looks very much like a redesigned version of the Redmi Note 10 5G, but I am not complaining as this actually looks better.
