Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G, Redmi Note 11S 5G, Redmi 10 5G — more 5G options powered by MediaTek Dimensity chips
Xiaomi has just announced a trio of mid-range 5G smartphones powered by MediaTek Dimensity chipsets. We have the new Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G and Redmi Note 11S 5G as the latest members of the Redmi Note 11 family. For an even more affordable option, there’s the Redmi 10 5G, the first Redmi series device to sport 5G to bring faster connectivity to everyone.
Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G and Redmi Note 11S 5G
The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G builds upon the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G with its 120W charging, making it the first ever Redmi smartphone to tout 120W wired charging. You do sacrifice on overall charging capacity though, with it featuring a 4500mAh battery, versus the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G‘s 5000mAh. Redmi promises a full charge in just 15 minutes, which means that while you may run out of juice slightly sooner on the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G, the fast charging will result in minimal downtime before you are ready to go again.
Aside from the faster charging and smaller battery, the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G also gets a new Dimensity 920 chipset that should be slightly faster than the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G’s Snapdragon 695. The rest of the specifications list is kept pretty similar: you get the same 108MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro camera, along with a 16MP selfie camera hidden in the 6.67″ FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED DotDisplay.
The Redmi Note 11S 5G is slightly more interesting. You get 5G thanks to the Dimensity 810, which should be a pretty impressive upgrade from the Helio G96 featured in the non-5G Redmi Note 11S. The main camera receives a somewhat major downgrade though, going from the Redmi Note 11S’ 108MP camera to a 50MP camera. It still gets accompanied by the same 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro shooters. The display has grown a little to 6.6″, but you still retain the 90Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution.
