This 30,000mAh Samsung Galaxy A32 Will Definitely Solve Your Battery Anxiety
Meet the modern incarnation of those Nokia phones that practically refuses to run out of the battery, if you don’t mind the looks that is.
Smartphone these days has largely hit a wall of how much capacity they carry – typically that number lands on 5,000mAh on the plus-sized flagships. Gaming phones do get more than that at the expense of heavier and possibly bulkier phone, but even these don’t hold a candle to this particular Samsung Galaxy A32 5G that pretty much fits the definition of “power brick”. At 30,000mAh – you’re not even allowed to board a plane with it!
Reddit user u/Downtown_Cranberry44 decided to jerry-rig their regular Galaxy A32 5G (costs RM1,199 here, for reference) that comes at 5,000mAh stock with a huge brick of battery six times its original capacity. The stock phone can already last two days on regular usage, so it’s safe to say something this huge should last well over a week or even two. The whole thing weighs around 450g and can even charge other devices from the ports below if needed.
As mentioned earlier, you can’t carry this thing into planes as the battery capacity exceeds the safety limits allowed (100Wh or 27,000mAh typically), and charging this brick takes “around 7 hours”, says the Reddit user. At the time of the original post it has lasted for two days – the original battery’s expected runtime – but the user hasn’t given any updates on the battery levels in the post since, at the time of this writing.
Oh, in case you hadn’t figured out – don’t try this at home.
