Nintendo Joy-Cons Will Be Fully Supported on Steam
In a recent Steam community post, the latest Steam beta update has added support for the Nintendo Joy-Cons. This means that somewhere down the road, PC gamers will be able to enjoy full support for it via Steam.
From what we understand thus far, the Nintendo Joy-Cons can be used as a pair or individually depending on how users would like to set it up. This is especially handy if you need more controllers to play a co-op game on PC, especially the likes of Broforce and Biped.
With that being said however, there is no word on whether it will be able to make use of the HD Rumble feature or motion controls on the peripheral but even if it does, it might be limited to specific games, similar to how only certain games can make use of certain features on the PS5’s DualSense controller.
There is no word on when the feature will be made available in public versions of Steam but it shouldn’t take too long given that it’s already out on the beta versions. We will report more on this as soon as information becomes available so stay tuned.
Pokdepinion: Not surprised to see this becoming a reality since they practically added support for every other major controller out there. But to be able to do this at such a level is certainly a great feat.
