Xiaomi Mi TV Master 77″ OLED brings 120Hz G-SYNC support and TrueColor Pro for just 19 999 CNY
This might be a TV that gamers should be drooling over. The NVIDIA G-SYNC capable TV that Xiaomi was teasing back then is the Xiaomi Mi TV Master 77″ OLED, a sleek display that is only 8.2mm at its thickest point. And befitting of its status as Xiaomi’s flagship TV, the rear of the Mi TV Master 77″ OLED is made out of glass.
Mi TV Master 77″ OLED – 16 999 CNY
But it’s not the aesthetics that we care about, as the Mi TV Master 77″ OLED is packed full of features. It boasts what Xiaomi dubs their flagship OLED V21 panel, which boasts 10-bit color that covers 98.5% of DCI-P3 gamut, 1000 nits brightness and a contrast ratio of 1500000:1. Xiaomi pre-calibrated the displays with TrueColor Pro technology, allowing it to hit Delta E < 1.5 in the DCI-P3 gamut.
On top of that, Xiaomi baked in a G-SYNC module for PC gamers out there, while also officially supporting the Xbox consoles. The display runs at up to 4K120 with 1ms response time, with support for variable refresh rate via HDMI 2.1, making it ideal for not only PC gamers, but also console users. For low refresh rate content, the Mi TV Master 77″ OLED can also boost the visual smoothness up with 120Hz MEMC technology.
Audio is courtesy of a nine-speaker 70W 3.1 sound system, tuned by none other than harman/kardon. To make it all the more immersive, there’s support for IMAX Enhanced and Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, for a cinema-grade viewing experience in your living room. This is also Xiaomi’s first TV that supports their UWB feature, allowing you to pair your Xiaomi MIX 4 by simply pointing it at the TV.
All those features will come at quite a cost, with Xiaomi pricing the Mi TV Master 77″ OLED at 19 999 CNY (~RM13 074). However they are running an introductory promo right now where you can get the TV for just 16 999 CNY (~RM11 113). Of course, you can only get the Mi TV Master 77″ OLED in China for now, but hopefully Xiaomi has plans to make it available globally.
Mi TV 6 OLED – from 5699 CNY
The more mainstream-oriented Mi TV 6 comes in two sizes, 55″ and 65″. Both of them come with excellent 10-bit OLED panels, capable of 98.5% of the DCI-P3 gamut. However to differentiate it from the flagship Mi TV Master 77″ OLED, these only go up to 60Hz, which is probably plenty for enjoying movies on. The Mi TV 6 OLED series also gets IMAX Enhanced support.
With that said, even console gamers can have a good time on these, as they offer a low 1ms response time. They don’t get Xbox’s official support though. For audio, you get a four-speaker system pumping out a total of 25W of sound.
All of that is crammed into a sleek 4.6mm thick panel, and this is true for both the Mi TV 6 55″ OLED and Mi TV 6 55″ OLED. Prices start from 5699 CNY (~RM3727) for the 55″ version, while the 65″ version will go for 7699 CNY (~RM5034). Both displays have an introductory offer that slashes 700 CNY off their regular price.
Pokdepinion: Imagine back then when a 27″ G-SYNC IPS gaming monitor would set you back RM11 000… Now for just a bit more you can get a 77″ OLED G-SYNC TV.
