The news was brought by KralRindo, who happens to be an Apex Legends dataminer. While he was looking through the files of the games’ latest patch, he made discovery of a “Chat Filter” which is supposedly being worked by Respawn Entertainment.
According to him, the feature will be available for both text and voice chat. In case you don’t fit the criteria for a filter, you are automatically muted toward others.
Despite that, do take the news with a little pinch of salt. Sometimes nothing come into fruition from datamine leaks. Apex Legends is a free to play battle royale game that’s available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and mobile.

Pokdepinion: Not going to lie, I’d welcome the feature any day, especially teamed up with toxic team mates. That being said, the game is all about team work and communications..
