Witcher 4 To Come? Here’s What CD Projekt Red Had To Say
There’s been a lot of rumors going on around on a new Witcher game, where it is said that CD Projekt Red, the company behind the game series will begin development after releasing Cyberpunk 2077. Though many are excited of a new Witcher 4, it’s not exactly what it seems.
A new Witcher game to come?
In a recent interview with CD Projekt Red’s CEO, Adam Kicinski, he has stated that there will be no Witcher 4. Instead, here’s his insight on the matter:
We’ve been working on the next single-player game already, creating a clear concept that waits for further development. It’s already working but we don’t want to commit to it yet. We’ll start working on this next game right after Cyberpunk 2077. I already said there will be no Witcher 4. I clearly said that Witcher was a trilogy. Simultaneously, we’ve always emphasized that we want to create Witcher games and the agreement with Mr. Sapkowski confirmed our rights.

With his statement, he clearly quashed away the rumors of a potential Witcher 4. However we would probably see a new game set in the world of the Witcher and it probably will take some time for them to reveal details of the game. It suggests that we could probably see it catered for next-gen consoles instead (and PC, of course).
Pokdepinion: I can’t even begin to imagine a Witcher game without Geralt… I wonder if they will introduce a new character or take one from the franchise itself.
