Huawei “SuperCharge” coming to Mate 9?
We have seen Huawei demonstrate their quick charging batteries, which can juice up a 3000 mAh batteries to nearly 50% in 5 minutes. Huawei is applying for a trademark of the brand “SuperCharge” in the EU, which should see the new technology being introduced in the next Huawei flagship.
As Huawei uses their own Kirin SoCs, they do not rely on Qualcomm QuickCharge technology, but instead have to develop their own system to juice up batteries quickly. Not much information is leaked out, and we aren’t even sure whether this technology will appear anytime this year with IFA 2016 looming. In any case, we are sure that Huawei is readying a great new technology to compete with the big dogs in quick charging.
