U Mobile announces Power-Up for Pokemon GO
U Mobile is offering its customers even more benefits with their Power-Up for Pokemon GO contest. U Mobile will set up lures during the event period from 10th August to 10th September 2016 at random locations which will be announced later to make it easier for players to catch ’em all with the increased number of Pokemon appearing in the area.
U Mobile customers will also get discounts for their Uber rides to allow Pokemon trainers to travel to their Pokestops or Gyms faster. They will also get exclusive discounts when they purchase powerbanks from Lazada during the event period.
Aside from these niceties, U Mobile customers can also participate in the Power-Up for Pokemon Go Contest.
- U Mobile will be uploading the selected Pokémon characters that customers have to capture for the day on its Facebook, Instagram and website during the two (2) week contest period.
- All U Mobile customers need to do to get their hands on a prize is to hunt down capture the virtual Pokémon. To participate, customers have to screen capture their catch, post the image on Instagram with a creative caption and include the #pokeonz and #Umobile hashtags. The creative caption should begin with ‘I want to Power-Up for Pokémon Go with U Mobile because …’.
- U Mobile will select 35 daily winners based on the overall best caption. Winners will be announced via its Facebook, Instagram and website every three (3) days.
- Five (5) daily winners will win a 4000 Ah powerbank each
- The other 30 daily winners will receive RM100 postpaid or prepaid credits
- At the end of the two-week contest period, ten (10) grand prize winners will be picked from the pool of daily winners based on the overall top ten (10) best caption. The ten (10) grand prize winners will each receive an iPhone 6s. Winners will be announced via U Mobile’s Facebook, Instagram and Website.
