Razer Updates Its Desktop Speaker Family With Nommo V2 Line
Razer today brings the Nommo speakers into the second generation with three new Nommo V2 models: the Nommo V2 X, Nommo V2 and Nommo V2 Pro. The Nommo V2 Pro features, as Razer claims, “the world’s first PC gaming speaker system to feature a wireless down-firing subwoofer”. The left and right channels feature 3-inch full-range drivers with aluminum phase plugs responsible for audio clarity.
The speakers, which are THX certified will come with THX Game Profiles that provide pre-tuned EQs for specific games, such as Cyberpunk 2077 and Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, with more supported titles down the line. Also new is the Wireless Control Pod – a separate Bluetooth-connected control surface for volume and playback controls, this device will come in-box with Nommo V2 Pro and available as an optional accessory for Nommo V2 and V2 X.
The standard Nommo V2 will feature the same 2.1 speaker setup, albeit the subwoofer will remain wired instead of wireless; meanwhile, the entry-level Nommo V2 X will only feature two channels themselves, with no RGB lighting present.
The local pricing for the Razer Nommo V2 lineup are as follows:
Nommo V2 Pro – RM2,309
Nommo V2 – RM1,399
Nommo V2 X – RM859
All three months are set to launch in June, with the Wireless Control Pod launching in August this year (local pricing information unavailable as of this writing).
Pokdepinion: From what I can tell the physical appearance is just about the same, just better internals.
