Computex 2021: AMD Ryzen 5000G series desktop APUs to start from $259 in retail
AMD has finally announced the retail pricing for the AMD Ryzen 5000G series desktop APUs. Initially launched exclusively for the OEM market, the retail availability of the AMD Ryzen 5000G APUs should be quite interesting to some, especially given the rather affordable prices that they start from.
The AMD Ryzen 5000G processors will feature the latest AMD Zen 3 core architecture, allowing it to enjoy most of the IPC gains that AMD delivered on the recent AMD Ryzen 5000 series processors, but with an integrated graphics too.
There are other key differences, like a smaller cache and also the lack of PCIe 4.0 connectivity. it is also worth noting that the AMD Ryzen 5000G APUs are the only way you can get an eight-core Zen 3-based processor with a lowly 65W TDP at retail, as the AMD Ryzen 7 5800 touts a similar TDP but is only available to OEMs.
AMD will only be giving DIY enthusiasts two options, the AMD Ryzen 7 5700G and Ryzen 5 5600G. For some reason, they decided to not offer the AMD Ryzen 3 5300G in the retail market, when it could quite handily go up against the Core i3 parts from Intel.

Pokdepinion: I guess this will be great for SFF PC builds if you can get them at MSRP.
