WhatsApp Introduces Group Chat Related Enhancements

Admins can quickly check requests, and users can now see mutual groups.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has announced through his Instagram Broadcast Channel with two new minor quality-of-life improvements to the WhatsApp Groups feature.

First is the streamlining of joining requests. Admins of a group can now access a dedicated section to view all pending requests and quickly approve them in batch, or reject as needed. Admins should be able to access the feature through “Pending Participants” section.

For group members, a minor update is added to easily check who’s in the same group as them. Simply search up a contact, and the information will be presented accordingly if the contact is within the same group that you join.

Just like earlier feature updates, both enhancements will roll out globally in the coming weeks, according to developers.

Pokdepinion: The Pending Participants feature is definitely a nice one and probably overdue at that.
