Earlier today, Energea hosted its very first media event here in Malaysia – and with it, the Singaporean-based accessories maker has introduced the MagPac Pro 35s hybrid solid-state powerbank and the Tangerine Collection for the Malaysian market.

Energea MagPac Pro 35s

The MagPac Pro 35s is one of the first powerbanks in Malaysia to feature solid-state battery technology, and that’s a big deal: unlike traditional batteries you see today powering virtually all gadgets, which uses liquid electrolytes (Li-Po) to transfer of positively-charged ions between the cathode and anode, solid-state batteries uses solid electrolytes to complete the same process. The benefits include significantly improved safety, as the battery can remain functional even when punctured (whereas a liquid-based equivalent will instantly burst into flames upon breakage).

The crossed marks are real punctured holes created by screwdrivers. No fires or explosions, at all. (Do not try this at home, obviously.)

In fact, that’s the same technology used in electric vehicles today, although we weren’t able to get answers on what exact chemistry is involved here. Energea also technically referred it as a “hybrid solid-state” battery, which likely indicates a small amount of liquid content in its electrolyte layer (as true solid-state batteries are still years away today). Still, it’s touted to be extra safe, and it also offers double the charge cycles compared to conventional Li-Po batteries. Inside, it has a 10,000mAh capacity, capable of 35W wired fast charging and Qi2 / MagSafe wireless charging, and its design includes a built-in USB-C cable tucked under the flap acting as the stand.

Alongside the power bank, Energea also introduced the Tangerine Collection, which refreshes its accessories range with a new tangerine color scheme that more or less matches the orange-colored iPhone 17 Pros. The lineup includes the AluPac Mini 5K and AluPac 10K magnetic wireless powerbanks, the AluMag Trio 3-in-1 Qi2 wireless charger, and the TravelGo Adapter 35 with interchangeable plugs. Two new additions expand the range: the Flow Duo Watch, a USB-C cable with a built-in Apple Watch charger, and the MagAudio Go Plus, a magnetic wireless speaker with phone charging capability and up to 15 hours of playback.

The MagPac Pro 35s and Tangerine Collection will be available in Malaysia from November through e-commerce platforms such as Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok Shop, as well as selected retail partners. No pricing has been announced at the time of this writing.

Pokdepinion: Better longevity is always a plus. I’m definitely looking for one of these next time around.
