Garmin has introduced the Descent X10, a dedicated dive computer designed to give divers of all experience levels quick access to critical underwater data. The device features a 2.1-inch always-on backlit display that shows depth, time, oxygen levels and more directly from the wrist.
Garmin Descent X10
The Garmin Descent X10 supports scuba, apnea and gauge dive modes, allowing divers to see the most relevant data for their activity. The device is rated to 10 ATM and comes with a rechargeable battery that offers up to 50 hours of dive time, with standby mode extending battery life to up to six months between charges.
A notable feature is NDL Aware depth metrics, which lets divers see in real time how depth changes affect their no-decompression limit. Divers can also use a device simulator through the Garmin Dive smartphone app before entering the water, allowing them to simulate full dives and practice scenarios beforehand. The app handles dive log uploads automatically after each session, with options to tag locations and track gear usage. For those diving with a backup unit, settings can be synced across multiple compatible Descent dive computers using the setup sharing feature.
Garmin is also releasing replaceable bezel guards (sold separately) in four color options: Amp Yellow, Aqua, Purple Iris and Black. The Descent X10 ships with a silicone band designed to fit over a wetsuit, and is also compatible with optional QuickFit bands. For commercial usage, Garmin Descent X10 includes a dedicated rental mode aimed at dive shops, schools and charter operators – with this mode, operators can configure the device to match a diver’s skill level and quickly reset it between uses.
The Garmin Descent X10 is priced at RM1,549 and will be available from 24 December 2026. It can be purchased from Garmin.com.my, Shopee, Lazada, the AECO e-store, Garmin Brand Stores and all authorised retailers.
Pokdepinion: Six-month standby time likely comes in handy if it’s rarely used.
