Sony ZV-E10 Orders Suspended Due to Global Chip Supply Shortage
More bad news, this time especially for vloggers, as the Sony ZV-E10 orders have been suspended due to the global chip supply shortage. Here’s what went down.
Sony ZV-E10 Orders Suspended
As many of you may know by now, the Sony ZV-E10 was launched in August 2021. However, it wasn’t exactly easy to get your hands on and as of now, orders for the mirrorless camera have been suspended due to the global chip supply shortage.
According to their official post, the Sony ZV-E10 will no longer be sold on their store or any of their authorized distributors for now. The reason for this is because of a delay in getting the necessary parts to manufacture the camera.
This isn’t the only Sony device that was affected by the global chip supply shortage as they have also stopped sales of the Sony A7 II, A6400, and A1600 cameras. Outside of that, the Sony ECM-B1M shotgun microphone, PXW-Z190 camcorder and HDR-CX680 were also affected.
With that being said, they’re not the only company to be affected by the shortage as plenty of other companies across industries are also facing stock issues. There are measures being put in to combat the issue but we likely won’t see a huge recovery in the near future. For now, we will report more on this as soon as information becomes available so stay tuned.
Pokdepinion: I felt like this was the ideal starter camera for vloggers who want a little more room for expansion compared to the RX100 series. I wonder if by the time they could get stock, a successor would have come around.
