ASUS Malaysia announced the launch of three business-grade laptops earlier this week: the ASUS ExpertBook P3 G1, ASUS ExpertBook P5 G1 and ASUS ExpertBook PM5 G2. The lineup follows the earlier launch of the ASUS ExpertBook Ultra and extends the ExpertBook range beyond enterprise IT deployments to retail channels aimed at students and professionals.
New ASUS ExpertBook P Series
The ASUS ExpertBook P3 G1 is available in 14-inch (P3406CCAP) and 16-inch (P3606CCA) variants – both can be configured with either Intel Core Ultra 5 225H (4P+8E+2LPE) or Core Ultra 7 255H (6P+8E+2LPE) processor, paired with 16GB of DDR5 RAM, which is upgradable. Two SSD slots are available, the primary M.2 2280 slot supports up to 4TB (configuration maxes out at 2TB), while the secondary slot in M.2 2230 form factor supports 2TB, though it features 512GB by default. Both sizes feature 16:10 FHD+ anti-glare IPS displays with 300 nits of brightness.
Next, the ASUS ExpertBook P5 G1 (P5406CCA / P5606CCA) is also powered by Intel Core Ultra 7 255H processor and includes 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a 512GB SSD as standard, with support for upgrades of up to 96GB of RAM and dual SSD storage of up to 6TB (2TB+4TB). The laptop features a 16:10 FHD+ OLED display, and its chassis weighs from 1.29kg for the 14-inch, or 1.62kg for the 16-inch; note that the 16-inch chassis also features numpad on the keyboard.
Lastly, the ASUS ExpertBook PM5 G2 (PM5406CGA / PM5606CGA) is powered by AMD Ryzen AI 7 445 or Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 processor, coupled with 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a 1TB SSD as standard, with support for upgrades of up to 96GB of RAM and dual SSD storage of up to 3TB. The laptop also features the same OLED displays found on the P5 G1 models, with the exact same weight as the aforementioned model as both share the same chassis design.
Pricing & Availability
The new ASUS ExpertBook laptops are available in Malaysia through selected ASUS authorized retail and online channels. The ExpertBook P3 G1 starts at RM4,799, the ExpertBook P5 G1 starts at RM7,999, and the ExpertBook PM5 G2 starts at RM9,399, with the PM5 G2 available exclusively online through the ASUS e-Store and the ASUS ExpertBook Official Store on Shopee and Lazada.
All models come with ASUS Business Advantage, which includes up to a three-year on-site warranty, one year of ASUS Accidental Damage Protection covering drops, liquid spills and electrical surges, a three-year McAfee security subscription, and one year of complimentary VPN access.
