ASUS ROG laptops start from RM5799 in Malaysia — packing the latest Ryzen 5000 processors and GeForce RTX 30 series GPUs!

ASUS unveiled a broad selection of ASUS ROG laptops at CES 2021, and all of them came with the AMD Ryzen 5000 series processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series graphics card. After the TUF Gaming lineup arrived, it is now the Republic of Gamers’ turn to be unleashed in Malaysia.

ASUS ROG Strix G Series

The ASUS ROG Strix G15 and G17 laptops are the most affordable laptops in the lineup. The ASUS ROG Strix G15 and ROG Strix G17 can be configured with up to the AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX, which is the first ever unlocked Ryzen mobile processor to deliver even greater performance than was possible in the laptop form factor. Meanwhile over on the GPU end, you can get it with up to the GeForce RTX 3070.

For display options, there’s a choice of 144Hz and 300Hz panels for both the ROG Strix G15 and ROG Strix G17. Both models will also come with a large 90WHr battery to provide better endurance when working away from a power source.

ROG Strix SCAR Series

For the serious esports gamers, there’s the ROG Strix SCAR 15 and SCAR 17. These machines might look pretty similar to the ROG Strix G15 and G17, but they pack subtle differences like the interchangeable Armor Caps to show off your style and a translucent keyboard deck. Speaking of which, the keyboard here sports optical mechanical switches for a faster and more precise response.

You can also configure the ROG Strix SCAR 15 and SCAR 17 with the GeForce RTX 3080 graphics, which will provide more than enough horsepower to saturate the 300Hz display that are featured on the latest ROG Strix SCAR models.

ROG Zephyrus G15

ASUS reworked the ROG Zephyrus G15 for this generation, adding elements from the beloved ROG Zephyrus G14 like an ErgoLift hinge, magnesium-aluminum lid and the asymmetrical dot matrix pattern on the lid. However it doesn’t get the AniMe Matrix display, instead only getting a prismatic film under it to provide a shimmery effect. This is also the only laptop to get a 2K 165Hz panel, providing a balance between resolution and refresh rate to satisfy both content creators and gamers alike.

ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 SE

The ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 SE offers the ScreenPad Plus from the ASUS ZenBook Duo series to provide content creators and gamers extra viewing space with the secondary 4K display. Speaking of which, the ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 SE can be configured with a 4K 120Hz 100% Adobe RGB panel, or a 1080p 300Hz 100% sRGB display, depending on your needs. ROG Flow X13

The most innovative design this year from the Republic of Gamers, the ROG Flow X13 is a 13″ 2-in-1 convertible packs an AMD Ryzen 5000 series processor and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 under the hood. Those specifications might seem pretty mediocre, but the ROG XG Mobile that’s designed to work with the ROG Flow X13 is anything but.

Featuring the GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU with a 150W TGP, the ROG Flow X13 can easily transform into a gaming machine with the ROG XG Mobile, capable of going toe-to-toe with the likes of the ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 SE. The ROG XG Mobile is designed to not only serve as an external GPU, but also as a hub to add connectivity options like LAN, HDMI, DisplayPort and USB ports, all of which wouldn’t fit on the ROG Flow X13’s diminutive dimensions. And oh, it also integrates a power adapter so you only need to connect the ROG XG Mobile to the ROG Flow X13.

The ROG Flow X13 itself is very portable at just 1.3kg. The small 13.4″ display sports a 16:10 aspect ratio to provide more vertical viewing area than a standard 16:9 panel would. It is also touch sensitive and supports stylus input for expanded creativity possibilities. The ROG Flow X13 can be purchased with or without the ROG XG Mobile bundled, but the latter is currently only available as part of the bundle. So you can’t pick up the ROG XG Mobile separately for now.
