Donald Trump’s Tweet Has Been Labelled ‘Potentially Misleading’ By Twittter
Nobody wants to get a “potentially misleading” label on Twitter and apparently that was the case for the United States of America president, Donald Trump.
Trump gets ‘potentially misleading’ label on Twitter
It appears that a total of two tweets from the president has been tagged with the label. The tweets that were involved? Well they were about Trump falsely claiming “mail-in ballots will be anything less than substantially fraudulent” and would lead to “a rigged election”.
You can check below on his reaction to the incident:
Twitter responded by saying that it is done to limit “the spread of potentially harmful and misleading content”. Surprisingly Trump’s previous tweet that claims hydroxychloroquine is the treat for Covid-19 wasn’t flagged the same way.
It will be interesting to see if Trump does indeed take action against the social media platform. We’ll sure to update if there’s any new news on it. Till then, watch this space.
Pokdepinion: The keyword here is ‘potentially’. Trump can’t simply say that Twitter is stifling “free speech”. Let’s see where this goes.
