Apple has announced that Apple Watch users will be eligible to receive a limited-edition award on 24 April 2025 as part of the Global Close Your Rings Day. To qualify, users must complete all three Activity rings (Move, Exercise, and Stand) on that day.

The reward is a part of the 10-year celebration since Apple introduced Activity Rings on Apple Watch back in 2015, and it forms the iconic part of the wearable since then. In conjunction with the event, Apple has released new insights from the Apple Heart and Movement Study, which involves over 200,000 participants in the United States and is conducted in collaboration with Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the American Heart Association.
Apple’s survey data from more than 140,000 participants suggests a correlation between regularly closing Activity rings and positive health indicators – those who frequently closed their rings were found to be 48% less likely to experience poor sleep quality, 73% less likely to exhibit elevated resting heart rates, and 57% less likely to report high perceived stress levels.
The findings are based on comparisons between users who closed their rings at least 50% of the time and those who did so 10% or less. Poor sleep was defined by a sleep efficiency of less than 87.5%, and stress levels were assessed using the Perceived Stress Scale-4.
Starting 24 April, Apple Store locations worldwide will offer a physical pin inspired by the digital award, while supplies last. The digital award will be available to Apple Watch users running watchOS 5.0 or later, which will also include 10 animated stickers and an animated badge for Messages.
