Rockstar has once again surprise-dropped a new trailer for GTA 6 (stylized GTA VI), and there are more details to uncover in this new 2 minute 46 seconds long clip; besides that, Rockstar’s website has now opened a new section for the upcoming blockbuster detailing the characters and locations you’ll meet come next year.

First of all, we got the full name of new Bonnie and Clyde-style protagonists: Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. We may be looking at a storyline that starts from Lucia getting released from the prison in the state of Leonida – modeled after real-life Florida – followed by what looks like various heists (including one that was clearly inspired by Fast Five) and illicit acts that will occur throughout the game.
“Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive,” the trailer description reads.
Needless to say, the graphics has gotten a big upgrade from GTA V, with realistic lighting and effects seen throughout; as a matter of fact, the cutscenes are captured directly in PlayStation 5 console. Expect the game to make proper use of ray tracing and upscaling technologies offered by ninth generation consoles – PC gamers will have to wait as the game will only launch on both consoles first, with the launch date now set on May 26, 2026.
