Redmi Note 7 launched with a 48MP rear camera for just RM600!
Xiaomi’s sub-brand has just released their very first device, the Redmi Note 7. The device is decidedly mid-range, but packs with it a flagship-worthy 48MP rear camera. The best part? It is priced from just RMB 999 (~RM603).
The Redmi Note 7 will come with a Snapdragon 660 AIE clocked at 2.2 GHz, with up to 6GB RAM and 64GB of storage under its shimmery hood. Also tucked away under the 2.5D glass panel is a 4000 mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 4. The 6.3″ FHD+ display up front is protected by Gorilla Glass, and sports a waterdrop notch. The minimal notch allows the Redmi Note 7 to boast of a screen-to-body ratio of 84%.
The highlight of course will be the 48MP f/1.8 primary camera. The Sony IMX 586 sensor used here features a Quad Bayer filter to deliver sensitivity comparable to a sensor with 1.6 μm pixels. Aiding the primary sensor is a secondary 5MP sensor for depth sensing. A 13MP front facing camera handles the selfie fanatics.
Pricing wise, the Redmi Note 7 is still ridiculously affordable. Priced from RMB 999 (~RM603) for the 3+32GB variant, the Redmi Note 7 is available in Blue, Twilight Gold and Black. Choosing higher specifications means you will have to foot a higher price. Even then, RMB 1199 (~RM724) for the 4GB + 64GB version, or RMB 1399 (~RM845) for the 6GB + 64GB variant are still really affordable.
Would you pick up the Redmi Note 7 if it arrives in Malaysia with similar pricing?
Pokdepinion: Well this definitely redeems the ridiculous thing that was the Redmi Note 6 Pro. How in the world is the pink-purple color Twilight Gold though?
