Microsoft’s virtual assistant, Cortana is now available on Mac OSX through Parallel Desktop 11. Cortana was originally built for the Windows Phone platform and adopted to Windows 10, a beta build was released for Android platform, and now, you can also use Cortana on Mac OS X.

Apple has not announced any plans to incorporate Siri into Mac OS X but now with Parallel Desktop 11, Mac users can control their computer with Cortana. In a video below a developer from Parallel Desktop demonstrated Cortana working on Mac OS X. By asking some simple question it seems Cortana works really well with quick and accurate responses. Also there’s a setting that allow Cortana to work as a native app on Mac OS X without switching to virtual Windows 10. Parallel desktop also claims to improve the virtual desktop experiences. Now it will be able to boot virtual Windows OS up to 50% faster and and a feature called TravelMode can improve battery life up to 25%. Of course, Parallel Desktop 11 is a shareware software that you have to buy.

Pokdepinion : Now Mac user doesn’t need migrate to Windows 10 for Cortana, through Parallel Desktop 11, you get to keep using Mac OS X while also enjoying Cortana. Not only does it work natively but the responses are quick and accurate like on a Windows 10 PC itself. To be honest, I’m a little jealous but this a good thing that we need to share. I also hope that Cortana will also work on GNU/Linux systems soon too.
