Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is soon to hit shores and it’s sure to get gamers excited. To bring more good news to their fanbase, Activision has revealed that there will not be any sort of loot box system in the game.

Instead of loot box, the game will come with a battle pass. If you are worried that this will ruin the game, well worry not. The battle pass will only unlock cosmetic items only.

This means that all contents that have an impact on gameplay, you will only be able to unlock them simply by playing the game.

Check out our previous article on what you need to run Call of Duty: Modern Warfare on PC here.

It’s worth mentioning also that there will also be the in-game store available, just in case you would like to purchase cosmetic items directly (similar to recent CoD titles).

Activision has added that we shouldn’t think about the battle pass at the moment as they claim that it won’t be available at launch. Why? They’ve said that they want to focus on day one experience for the game.

Understandably there are still questions around how the economy will evolve throughout the post-launch, live seasons. We recognize this will take time to fully demonstrate. Please know we are committed to delivering a fair system guided by the principles we’ve outlined here, and will continue to monitor feedback and player engagement to help us achieve that goal.

Pokdepinion: Actually I don’t mind if games had loot box systems IF they only contain cosmetic items. Offer items that can affect the gameplay, well that’s another case.
